1 Relaxation Class
This is a participatory class in which you will learn both the theory and practice of deep relaxation. Most people don't realize that relaxation is an acquired skill. Relaxation is not something that we instinctively know how to do. Rather it is something we must learn to do through consistent and regular practice, especially if we want to do it well. There are many documented benefits attributed to relaxation practice. Learn about the mind and simple methods to train the mind that have been developed and used by the world's oldest spiritual traditions. Any age welcome. No previous experience necessary. Please wear loose and comfortable clothing. Bring a blanket if you wish.
2 Ayurveda Here and Now
This class will give an overview of one of the world's oldest and truly holistic systems of medicine: Ayurveda, the traditional system of medicine from India. This class will present the underlying principles of this system enabling you to better understand and co-operate with 'Mother Nature'. Ayurveda teaches that individual health depends on harmony with the rhythmical and eternal laws of nature. Learn how to use your food and lifestyle to regain and maintain optimal health.
3 Beyond Politically Correct Nutrition
This class will give you concrete and practical guidelines to improve your health through nutrition. Come learn about the similarities between the principles of modern nutrition and the diets of traditional cultures around the world. Topics covered in this class include: Macronutrients (Carbohydrates, Protein, Fat), Nutrition Myths, Digestion, Nutritional Supplementation; Detoxification/Cleansing and Energy Enhancement. Come clear the confusion in this most important and exciting field of science.
4 Sinus Care 101
Breathe through allergy season! Learn how to prevent or eliminate sinus congestion and allergy symptoms through food choices, herbal remedies and traditional cleansing methods.
